Affiliations

Hudnall, Cohn, Fyvolent & Shaver, P.C. is active in many affiliate organizations, including the Atlanta Mortgage Bankers Association (AMBA), the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG), the Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Atlanta Association of Professional Mortgage Women (AAPMW). The firm's principals are frequent participants in the efforts to prevent real estate fraud in Georgia and are members of the Georgia Real Estate Fraud Prevention and Awareness Coalition. Hudnall Cohn is a sponsor for numerous events, participates in the various meetings and has representatives attend the annual industry conventions, serving on committees as well as the Board of Directors.

Hudnall Cohn is a charter member of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association (GRECAA). Gil Hudnall has served on the Board of Directors for many years, held several offices and is a two time past president of the organization. GRECAA is known statewide for its zealous support of the role of the closing attorney in Georgia, sponsoring (and opposing) specific legislation, monitoring State Bar activities and providing educational information through its meetings, newsletters, and web site.

In 2007, the firm established Hudnall Cohn Alliance, an academy dedicated to the continuing education of real estate professionals in classes taught by mortgage and legal professionals. The school, duly licensed by the Georgia Real Estate Commission, and supervised by Kimberly Hicks Jackson, routinely delivers seminars on emerging issues in real estate lending and the legal environment of real estate transactions.
