W. Carlton Alford, Jr. graduated in 1996 from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double concentration in Finance and Real Estate. Following graduation, he enrolled in the University of Georgia School of Law, during which time he interned with Eagle Real Estate Advisors and clerked for the Magistrate Court of Athens-Clarke County as part of the School of Law's first civil externship program. Upon graduation from the School of Law with a Juris Doctorate, Carlton was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia on October 30, 1999.
Prior to joining Hudnall Cohn in 2003, Carlton practiced in the areas of commerical real estate, residential real estate, foreclosures, probate, estate planning, and general business transactions and litigation. Since joining the firm, Carlton has become a specialist in the areas of Default Services and manages the day-to-day operations of the firm's Foreclosure and Bankruptcy department, as well as the information technology planning for the firm. Carlton is a member of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association and the American Legal and Financial Network (AFN), as well as an occasional speaker for the Georgia ICLE Title Standards seminar.
Outside of law practice, Carlton can frequently be found in the Atlanta area performing as a free lance jazz pianist and woodwind instrumentalist.
