Marianne T. Shaver

Marianne T. Shaver received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1991. While at Lehigh, Marianne was a teaching assistant for the Business Law professor and a Drill Instructor for the Beginning Latin course. She returned home to Atlanta's Emory University to earn her Juris Doctorate degree in 1994. Marianne was involved in the Legal Association of Women Students at Emory and organized the club's Res Judicata 5K which benefited a local AIDS foundation.

Marianne has been with the firm since 1996, concentrating in the areas of residential and commercial real estate and foreclosure law. She spoke on behalf of the Georgia Bar Association's continuing education program regarding the effect of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act on Georgia foreclosures in 1999. She is a frequent speaker for ICLE seminars for Georgia attorneys, most recently in February, 2010 when she spoke about REO closings. Marianne is the chair of the Hudnall Cohn Academy which provides continuing education opportunities for real estate agents.
